Forty students were matched with mentors for a six-month cycle focused on academics, confidence, and long-range planning.
Matching day is loud in the best way. Students arrive unsure, and within an hour they are trading stories with the adult who will show up for them every week.
Each mentor commits to two hours a week for six months. That consistency is the program: not a dramatic intervention, but a steady adult presence.
Mentors receive orientation, background screening, and ongoing coaching from program staff so no one is navigating a tough conversation alone.
